In this mission, students will attempt to discover Newtons Second Law. They start with a lander on Gilly and should record the thrust and acceleration at various points. I wanted them to calculate acceleration using motion equations but they can also use the graph from KerbalEdu to find the acceleration. They need to open up the engine detail menu to see the thrust and then remember that the lander has 4 engines. Also make sure they know that the mass is in metric tons. They should then analyze this data and use a regression to find an equation for the relationship. They then should see if they can come up with a general formula for the relationship between force and acceleration.
If anyone trying to use this has any suggestions let me know and I will do my best to incorparate them into a new version. It is a little rough right now and my worksheet is kind of ugly.
